• Which paint — brand and finish, agreed in writing before work starts.
• Rough timescale — how many days, and when they can start.

Why the Cheapest Quote Often Costs More

A noticeably cheaper quote usually means less prep time, thinner coverage, or fewer coats. It looks fine on the day. Six months later you're seeing filler marks, patchy coverage over old colours, or brush marks along the woodwork — and fixing it properly costs more than doing it right first time would have.

That's not an argument for the most expensive quote either. It's an argument for asking what prep is included, and comparing that rather than just the bottom-line number.
