1. Send Us Photos
Message us on WhatsApp with a few photos of the wall or room, its current condition, and roughly what you're looking for. This helps us understand the job before we even arrive, and means we can flag anything unusual (unusual wall material, damp, etc.) early.
2. Getting Your Quote
For jobs closer to Gnosall and Stafford, we'll usually visit in person to measure and talk through options. For Telford, Cannock, Lichfield and further afield, we're often able to quote via a video call — you walk us round the room on your phone, we talk through style and paint options live, and we measure precisely once the job's confirmed and we're on-site for day one. Either way, you'll always get a clear, written quote — no vague verbal figures, no pressure, no obligation.
3. Fixed-Price, Not Hourly
The price in your quote is fixed for the agreed scope, not charged by the hour. It does not change simply because the work takes longer than expected. The only exceptions are changes you ask for or significant hidden problems that could not reasonably have been seen when quoting. If that happens, we explain the issue and agree any extra work and price with you before carrying it out wherever reasonably possible.
4. Paint Brand & Colour, Agreed Upfront
Where painting is included, we'll agree your paint brand (such as Dulux Trade or Farrow & Ball) and colour before work starts, since this affects both cost and the number of coats needed. Once you've chosen a colour, we ask you to apply a sample (minimum A2 size) directly to your wall and view it in both daytime and evening light for at least 24 hours — then send us a photo along with your written confirmation. This is the best way to avoid surprises once a whole wall is painted.
5. Panelling & Decorating, Done Properly
Panelling is installed and finished on-site — filled, caulked and sanded. The final finish is whatever is written in your quote: this may include priming and painting, or preparation and priming ready for final decorating.
6. Booking & Payment
Unless your quote says otherwise, most jobs are booked with a 20% booking/materials deposit and the remaining balance is due on completion. Where Klarna is offered on a Xero invoice and you are relying on Klarna to fund the job, we may ask for the full agreed invoice to be successfully approved and paid through Klarna before work starts.
7. Sign-Off & Aftercare
Once your colour and specification are confirmed in writing, that's what we work to. If anything doesn't match what was agreed, tell us and we'll inspect it and, where appropriate, put it right. If you simply change your mind about a colour, design or specification after we have completed the agreed work correctly, that is a change of preference rather than a defect and any alteration can be quoted separately.
